November 4th Election

Dear Subscribers:

Educate Hopkinton would like to remind you to vote in the upcoming State and National Election on November 4, 2008. Polls will be open at the Hopkinton Middle School, 88 Hayden Rowe Street, from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm.

The last day to register to vote or change your party affiliation is Wednesday, October 15. You can register at the Town Clerk’s office, located in the Town Hall, 18 Main Street, and open from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm weekdays, with extended hours on Tuesday 8:00 am to 7:00 pm.

If you will be out of town, or unable to get to the polls on November 4, please be sure to obtain an absentee ballot. Online forms can be found at: http://www.sec.state.ma.us/ele/elepdf/absbalap.pdf.

In addition to the candidate selections, you will be asked to vote on 3 ballot questions on November 4. Each could potentially have a significant impact on the state budget, and the money that comes to Hopkinton from the Commonwealth.The questions are as follows, with links to information from the Secretary of State’s office:
