Article 1: Rescind Main Street Corridor Vote and Discontinue Project – Citizens Petition

To see if the Town will vote to (1) rescind the vote taken under Article 47 of the Town of Hopkinton 2018 Annual Town Meeting; and (2) vote to order the Select Board to discontinue the entirety of the Main Street Corridor Project.

Article 2 – Hopkinton High School Expansion: Engineering and Design Services – School Committee

  • $500,000 – design services for a permanent addition of six classrooms

Article 3 – Hopkinton High School Expansion: Construction Services – School Committee

  • $4.5 Million – for a building addition of six permanent classrooms.
  • Current Building Capacity (190,000 sq ft) per MSBA standards = 1080 students / expected enrollment in fall 2020 =  1234 students

Article 4 – Elmwood School: Installation of Modular Classrooms – School Committee

  • $2 Million – installation of four modular classrooms
  • Current Building Capacity (82,000 sq ft) per MSBA standards = 520 students / expected enrollment in fall 2020 = 605 students

Article 5 – Hopkins School: Installation of Modular Classrooms – School Committee

  • $3 Million – installation of four modular classrooms
  • Current Building Capacity (78,000 sq ft) per MSBA standards = 560 students / expected enrollment in fall 2020 = 637 students

Article 6 – Street Acceptance: Legacy Farms North Road – Citizens Petition

  • The required road layout plan has not yet been submitted to the Town Clerk, therefore the road cannot yet be accepted as a public way. As a result the expected Motion is for the Town to vote to request that the Planning Board and Select Board take all required actions to facilitate a vote to accept Legacy Farms North as a public way at the 2020 Annual Town Meeting provided that the required layout plans are submitted.
