a.          Pursuant to M.G.L. c.30A, §21(a) (purpose 3) to consider strategy with respect to negotiations with the Fire union.

b.          Pursuant to M.G.L. c.30A, §21(a) (purpose 6) to consider the purchase, lease, sale or value of real estate in relation to properties in the vicinity of Town Hall and South Street, and parcels owned by Umina off Chestnut Street, because an open meeting may have a detrimental effect on the negotiating position of the Board;

4.                                              The Select Board will consider the following consent agenda:

a.          MINUTES – The Select Board will consider approving the Minutes of the November 7, 2023 and November 13, 2023 meetings.

b.          RESIGNATION – The Select Board will consider accepting the resignation of Keerthika Deepala from the Cultural Council.

c.           APPROVE ESCROW AGREEMENT – The Select Board will consider approving an escrow agreement for the deed to a 20.96 acre open space parcel to be conveyed to

the Town on Whisper Way, pending acceptance of the gift of land at the May, 2024 annual town meeting. Town Counsel has reviewed the escrow agreement and there are no outstanding issues.

d.          ACCEPT GIFT – The Select Board will consider accepting a donation of $50 from Barbara Kelly to the Fire Department’s Ambulance Fund in memory of George Thorsen Jr.

e.          ABCC SEASONAL POPULATION ESTIMATE – The Select Board will review and consider approving a seasonal population estimate of 18,893 for 2024; estimate is an annual requirement of the Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission (ABCC) and is based on 2020 U.S. Census data.
