Tonight at 7:00pm Meet HS Principal Candidate Michael Cournoyer
The search process for the next Principal of Hopkinton High School is nearing completion. Although two finalists were originally selected, one of the finalists, Mr. John Smith has withdrawn from consideration and been hired as headmaster of the Dover-Sherborn Regional High School. There will be an opportunity tonight at 7:00pm in the Hopkinton High School Auditorium for interested faculty, staff, parents, and community members to meet the remaining candidate, Mr. Michael Cournoyer, and provide feedback to the Superintendent. Those attending will have opportunity to hear the candidate speak about his experience and training, ask the candidate questions, and complete a feedback sheet that Dr. Hiersche will consider when making his selection. Mr. Michael Cournoyer
Mr. Cournoyer holds a Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership from Worcester State College, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Education from the University of Lowell. He is currently the Principal for Holliston High School. He previously served as Assistant Principal of Hopkinton High School, and began his career in education as a high school health teacher at Southbridge High School.
