Hopkinton got $12,000!

Several Greater Milford and MetroWest police departments are among nearly 200 statewide that are expected to receive part of $2.5 million designated to safe driving initiatives.

The annual grants, from the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security, offer between $10,000 and $50,000 per municipality. Funds are used for overtime patrols over six campaign periods, including the end-of-year holiday season.
