6:10 PM NEW TOWN EMPLOYEES
3. The Select Board will affirm the Town Manager’s appointment of Kyle Boucher, Water Technician, Renee Chen, Administrative Assistant, Finance, and Kelechi Obika, Health Services Agent.
● The Select Board affirmed the Town Manager’s appointment of Kelechi Obika as Health Services Agent. (5-0)
● The Select Board affirmed the Town Manager’s appointment of Kyle Boucher as Water Technician. (5-0)
● The Select Board affirmed the Town Manager’s appointment of Renee Chen as Administrative Assistant, Finance. (5-0)
6:15 PM 2021 ANNUAL TOWN MEETING AND ANNUAL TOWN ELECTION DATES
4. The Select Board will consider delaying the Annual Town Meeting to Saturday, May 8, 2021. The Select Board will consider postponing the Annual Town Election and, in consultation with the Town Manager and Town Clerk, rescheduling the postponed Town Election to Saturday, May 22, 2021.
The Select Board voted pursuant to M.G.L. chapter 39, section 10, to delay the Annual Town Meeting, currently scheduled to commence on May 3, 2021, at 7:00 p.m., to commence instead on May 8, 2021, at 9:00 a.m. (5-0)
After consultation with the Town Manager and Town Clerk, the Select Board voted pursuant to Chapter 45 of the Acts of 2020, as amended by Chapter 5 of the Acts of 2021, to postpone the date of the Annual Town Election currently scheduled on May 17, 2021, and to reschedule that election to May 22, 2021. (5-0)
The Chair allowed the addition of two unanticipated agenda items.
● The Select Board voted to waive the hiring freeze to hire a Custodian in the Facilities Department. (5-0)
● The Select Board voted to accept a draft letter to the Embassy of Greece commemorating the 200th anniversary of Greek Independence on March 25, 2021. (5-0)
