School Enrollment at Peak
At the October 2 School Committee meeting, Superintendent Dr MacLeod presented the annual school enrollment as of October 1. The enrollment for this year is currently at 3,462 students, or 36 students more than NESDEC‘s projection. This makes 2014-15 tied with 2009-10 as the district’s all time highest total enrollment year. Additional students may enroll during the year as the Legacy Farms development gradually comes online. Residential developments at Hopkinton Mews and Crossroads Redevelopment are also expected in the coming years. This year the largest classes are in the Middle and High Schools, with the largest grade this year being grade 6 at 307 students. Grades 11 and 12 are also large with 293 and 294 students respectively. More detail is available in the links provided below.
