The owner of Bittersweet Cafe hopes to overcome hurdles with local licensing regulations and open in a new downtown location by the end of April.

Sheriff Koutoujian named to Council of State Government’s Justice Center Advisory Board

The Council of State Governments (CSG) Justice Center, a national nonprofit organization that develops research-driven strategies to increase public safety and strengthen communities, announced today that Middlesex Sheriff Peter J. Koutoujian has joined its Advisory Board.

Public service announcement for dog owners: Dog Licenses Due April 1

If your dog doesn’t have their 2019 license yet then don’t wait. If the required materials have not been received by Town Clerk before the close of business on April 1st, then a $25 late fee (per household) will be assessed.

Milford area car insurance premiums spike

In MetroWest, Framingham has the highest car premiums, at $1,407, followed by Natick ($1,255). Hopkinton ($1,018) and Northborough ($1,021) are on the lower side. Premiums are on the low end in Franklin and Medway. It’s difficult to tell why one zip code is paying more than another.

Ashland seeks more details on gas pipeline plan

Mihai’s home on Indian Spring Road is one of more than 80 residential parcels that fall in the path of a more than 60-year-old gas line that starts near Legacy Farms in Hopkinton and ends on Cedar Street in Ashland.

Eversource is looking to double the width of the pipes on that 3.71-mile gas line – decommissioning the current 6-inch pipes and replacing them with brand-new 12-inch pipes right alongside them
